My vessels are rooted in traditional ceramic form and function, each piece is an opportunity to explore how pattern, texture, and color interact with shape and movement.
The forms themselves are intentionally familiar—bowls, jars, and serving pieces that invite use. Surface decoration becomes the place where narrative begins to unfold. Through carving, slips, underglaze, and layered pattern, the surfaces develop a visual rhythm that shifts as the object is turned in the hand.
Use is an important part of these objects. A vessel changes through interaction: it is lifted, filled, emptied, washed, and returned to the table or shelf. Over time these small rituals become part of the work itself. My goal is to create pieces that feel equally at home being used daily or simply observed, where function and form work together to create a quiet but engaging presence.
